According to Vastu Shastra, bathrooms should ideally be located in the East direction of a house, or alternatively, North-West and its nearby zones. This article will be kept short because I will be telling only about the ideal positions. Apart from the directions, I will discuss about some of the basic rules of the Bathroom Vastu. So, without wasting the learners time, let get into the details of Vastu basics for Bathrooms (Snanghar). I will use the same diagram to keep the learning along the same lines.

No. 1
Location: As per Vastu Shastra, there are 6 directions where Bathroom is permitted. On the basis of priority, these directions are in following order. East (E), North-West (NW), North of North-West (N-NW), West of North-West (W-NW), West (W), and then North of North-West (N-NW). East being the direction of rising Sun, it is considered auspicious, when the Sun rays will enter the Bathroom. Similarly, it will bring positivity and health in human body.

If a bathtub is installed, it should be placed in a way from South to North or East to West to ensure head should be at South or East respectively.

Within Bathroom, if possible, install the geyser at South-East direction.
The slope should be towards East, North-East or North.
Mirrors should be installed in North or East wall.
Bathrooms should never be placed in BrahmaSthan. This leads to downfall of entire family.
