Bedroom Vastu
Bedroom Vastu deals with the direction of Master Bedrooms, Elderly bedrooms, Children bedroom and Guest bedroom in the house. It also helps in laying out the setup and placement of things, within bedroom. Depending on how big is the family, the number of Bedrooms should be planned.However, at the same time, it is also important to consider the finances and based on what is
affordable, the decisions should be made on where a particular bedroom should be constructed and
which Bedroom type can be avoided.
As per the Vastu Shastra rules, following points should be considered while constructing Bedrooms:

Placements of Different Bedrooms as per Vedic Vastu Shastra
Now based on classification of the Bedroom types, I will clearly indicate the best possible zone for each type of bedroom. On internet there is no specific document or details available for the various types of Bedrooms for the different family members. Here, I took that privilege of writing this unique information at one single place for the ease of learners.
Classification of Bedrooms and their locations based on Vedic Vastu Shastra Principles:
1. Master Bedroom – The most ideal place for Master Bedroom as per Vastu Shastra is South- West (SW) direction. This place should be occupied by the head of the family. Another meaning to head of the family, is the one whose earnings are the highest. This means that either parents or grandparents can occupy this place, based on whose earning is the more. This direction is said to bring stability in the house.
2. Young Couple Room – As a newly wed enters the house, it is very important that they slowly grow the necessary bonding. To nurture their relationship, it is very clearly mentioned in the Vastu Shastra that North of North-West (N-NW) is the ideal direction. This brings the necessary flow of energies to the couple to further grow with formation of strong bonds.
3. Children’s Bedroom – Children’s bedroom should be given a very careful consideration as per Vastu Shastra. As they are the future of the family, their sleep, their studies, their learnings are very important. Ideal directions for Children’s bedroom as per Vastu Shastra
are North-West, North, East. Children’s room can also be made in North-East direction with careful consideration, as its also God’s zone. Kid’s room should never be made in South, South-West, and South-East directions.
4. Study Room – North-East (NE), North of North-East (N-NE), East of North-East (E-NE) and West of South-West are considered the best place for Children’s study room. I will be writing a detailed information on Study room separately.
5. Elderly Bedroom – As human beings age, it is generally seen that they move towards spirituality. As Ishan Kone (North-East) is a powerful zone of spirituality, elder’s bedroom can be made in North-East direction. North can also be used for elderly room in house.
6. Guest Bedroom – North-West (NW), West of North-West (W-NW) and North of North-West (N-NW) are ideal directions for the guest bedroom.
7. Servants Room – If needed, Servant’s room can be constructed in the West or West of North-West (W-NW) direction.
Other important Considerations:
(i) If there are two-three floor house, then the bedroom of the eldest member will be at ground floor, then the elder son on the upper floor and so on.
(ii) The bedroom door should never open in South direction.
(iii) Windows should be at North or East for positive energy flow.
(iv) The Bathroom and Toilets directions should be strictly followed as per Vastu Shastraprinciples. I have covered these topics in details in Chapter 5 – Toilet Vastu and Chapter 6 – Bathroom Vastu
(v) Avoid place of worship inside a couple bedroom.
(vi) Wardrobe should be placed in South or West wall to make SW section heavy.
(vii) Bed should be arranged in a way that the head should be either in South direction orm East Direction.
(ix) Mirror should be placed on North or East wall to repel the negative energies from Southor West respectively. One very important point to be considered is that the reflection of bed should not come while sleeping.
(X) In all the arrangements, it should be noticed that North, East and North-East section of
the room should have maximum free space (light weight).
